New River Country Club, built in 1961, is the oldest golf club in the
county. Located in Sparta, New
River Country Club has long been favored among locals
with its challenging course design and excellent views
of the New River valley. The second oldest course in the
county, Crestview Golf Course, opened in nearby Ennice,
North Carolina in 1982. Designed by E.D. Carico,
Crestview’s owner and manager, this course is a well
known favorite in the area and an excellent place to
play a round.
 Olde
Beau Golf Club, located in charming Roaring Gap, is
Allegheny County’s premier golf course and has received numerous awards and honors
year-after- year. In fact, Olde Beau Golf Club was one of only five courses awarded
with a 4 ½ star rating by Fodor’s Golf Digest Best
Places to Play, and maintains a semi-private greens
policy. Surrounded by a gorgeous well-planned North
Carolina golf community, both members and non-members
are permitted to play at Olde Beau golf club, however
members and their guests will enjoy lower green fees.
